Graduate Programme Testimonials
Philip O’Reilly, Pricing
I joined ORIX Aviation through the 2023 Graduate Programme. I started my career at ORIX Aviation on the Corporate Planning team before transitioning to the Pricing team 12 months later. I hold a BSc in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Aviation Finance from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
In my current role within the Pricing team, I am responsible for conducting detailed investment analysis on aircraft acquisitions and sales. This includes evaluating deal economics, assessing market comparables, and modelling optimal strategies for both owned and managed aircraft portfolios. I work closely with cross-functional teams to support transaction structuring and provide insights that help guide commercial decision-making.
I also actively participate in various deal teams, contributing to the execution of aircraft trading and leasing transactions. This exposure has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of the commercial and technical dynamics of aircraft leasing, while continuing to build my expertise in aviation finance.
The Graduate Programme at ORIX Aviation offered a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across different business functions, and to take on increasing responsibility within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Ronan Moore, Aircraft & Asset Management Origination (AAMO)

I graduated from the University of Limerick (UL) in 2021, with a B.E. (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering. I also hold an MSc in Aviation Finance (2022) from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. During my Engineering degree at UL, I learned about the world of aircraft leasing through a nine-month internship with GECAS at its then-headquarters in Shannon.
I began my full-time career on ORIX’s Technical team as part of the Company’s 2022 Graduate Programme intake. Since joining ORIX Aviation, the cross-functional and deal-facing exposure that I have gained has been greater than I could have ever imagined. Within the Technical team, I was exposed to a wide variety of exciting areas, including on-site support of aircraft and engine deliveries, and technical due diligence including support for disposals of aircraft and engines. My latest role is within ORIX’s Aircraft & Asset Management Origination (AAMO) team, where I am very lucky to support the business’s ambitious growth targets across multiple workstreams including asset acquisitions and asset management origination.
The ORIX Aviation Graduate Programme provided me with an excellent opportunity to learn and expand my knowledge of aircraft leasing with the support of the experienced team at ORIX Aviation, and to increase my responsibilities within the Company.
Alannah Dennehy, Corporate Planning

I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Limerick in 2023, where I first discovered my interest in the aviation industry during an eight-month placement with GECAS. That experience sparked a strong interest in aviation, which I continued to explore as an Engagement Officer with the Irish Aviation Students’ Association during my final year.
In September 2023, I joined ORIX Aviation as a Credit Risk Graduate. Since then, I’ve gained invaluable exposure, ranging from conducting credit analysis on airlines to contributing to deal teams. I have also had the opportunity to speak on panels, at careers fairs, and attend a number of exciting industry events and conferences.
As part of the graduate programme, I had the opportunity to participate in cross-departmental projects and training sessions that broadened my understanding of the industry and supported my professional development. This exposure sparked my interest in another department, Corporate Planning, and in particular Transaction Management. I’ve been fortunate enough to explore this interest further and become a full-time Transaction Manager.
The learning and development opportunities at ORIX Aviation have been exceptional, and I’m excited to continue building my career in the Aviation Industry.
